Update your SoulDial, one side at a time.

This page walks you through the whole thing. First we update the Soul Dial side—that also identifies your device over USB for the encrypted download (you do not need any device ID code). Then you flip the USB-C plug and update Wi-Fi/BT with the same session. Product firmware is not hosted as open files on this site.

Before you start

  • Turn on SoulDial first — slide the power switch on the side of the device to On. If nothing is detected below, this is the most common reason.
  • Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
  • Use a USB-A to USB-C cable.
  • Plug in the USB-C end either way. If the page says wrong side, unplug, flip 180°, and try again. (If your cable has a logo/marking on the plug, one orientation is often the Soul Dial side.)
  • If nothing is detected later, check that SoulDial's power switch is On first. Otherwise, the cable is often the problem—some cables only charge.

License recovery

If your SoulDial is stuck in service mode because the device license is missing, this tool talks to the connected Dial over USB and recovers its bound cloud license. Hardware attestation is preferred; if this Dial has no eFuse key, recovery is still allowed with rate limits and a support flag. A recovery code is only needed if that path is refused.

Use the normal Soul Dial side for this, not the Wi-Fi/BT side. If the first try fails, flip the USB-C plug and try again.

Update the Soul Dial

Connect and run this step first. The page identifies your device automatically over USB and installs the main software. If it says you are on the Wi-Fi/BT side, flip the plug and try again.

Press the button above, then pick your SoulDial when the browser asks.

Screen stays dark after an update? Undo bad update switches your SoulDial back to the software it had before. It only changes which software starts; your saved settings and games are not touched.

Use this only if your SoulDial stopped starting after an update. Connect the Soul Dial side, not the Wi-Fi/BT side.

Flip the USB-C plug

If step 1 read or updated the Soul Dial side, unplug only the USB-C end, turn it over, and plug it back in. If you skipped step 1, keep the Soul Dial side connected for one identity-only read; no main firmware is written. The page will then tell you when to flip the plug for the Wi-Fi/BT flash. If the page still says wrong side, flip again.

Finish step 1 first. Then this step will unlock.
